Master Class Track

The BPM 2026 Master Class Track offers two hands-on sessions exploring the latest developments in business process management and process intelligence. The Celonis Master Class focuses on Object-Centric Process Mining (OCPM), AI applications, and the Celonis Context Model, while the SAP Signavio Master Class explores Process Atoms, simulation, and practical process execution use cases. Together, the sessions provide participants with practical insights into applying advanced process technologies to real-world business challenges.

Celonis Master Class

Thursday, October 1, 2026 | 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. | Room 1
Celonis Context Model: From Single to Multiple Business Processes with AI Applications

This session from Celonis will cover the transition from traditional process mining from a limited, case-centric approach—which flattens complex, multi-dimensional workflows into a single "Case ID"—to Object-Centric Process Mining (OCPM). OCPM models real-world business operations by linking events to multiple discrete objects simultaneously, removing data duplication and blind spots. A demo of both case-centric and object-centric datasets will be shown.

This session will also highlight this structural shift for powering AI facilitators; without an object-centric foundation, AI systems lack the full relational context needed to perform accurate root-cause analysis and offer holistic recommendations. To bridge this gap, the Celonis Context Model standardizes messy ERP data into a clean semantic layer, while integration with the open-standard Model Context Protocol (MCP) allows AI applications to securely query real-time process insights without complex SQL knowledge.

During the hands-on session, participants will experience this paradigm shift firsthand by navigating the Celonis platform to contrast a restrictive, single-perspective view with a dynamic, multi-object graph that exposes hidden cross-process bottlenecks. Attendees will also test an embedded AI chat interface to witness how the system instantly isolates operational frictions using natural language prompts. Finally, to support widespread adoption of these advanced methodologies, the Celonis Academic Alliance program offers higher education institutions free platform access, curriculum, and complimentary global certifications, allowing educators and students to transition seamlessly from foundational analytics to modern process intelligence.
