Research within the Graduate Programme in Interdisciplinary Studies is determined by the projected projects pitched by successful applicants.
Every IS Student does a Thesis, and all theses are published as "Electronic Theses & Dissertations" and are public documents. Have a look at some of the creative thesis components. Then come to an INFO session and have a coffee with the Director to discuss your ideas.

Cynthia Kwakyewah
Received the Governor General’s Gold Medal, awarded for achieving the highest academic standing. The medals are the most prestigious recognition presented to graduate students.
Lance Morrison
Winner of the Golden GRADitude Award. This award expresses the University's gratitude to a graduating student who has made the University a better place during his/her time at York.
Thrmiga Sathiyamoorthy
Received the N. Sivalingam Award in Tamil Studies for her master's research on the dynamics of social inclusion among Canadian Tamil elders.
