The Amsterdam housing market is extremely challenging. UvA International Student Housing has a limited number of rooms reserved for roughly half of the newly incoming international students every semester. Please note that accommodation therefore cannot be guaranteed. After acceptance, in May (for semester 1) and in November (for semester 2) the student will receive an email about the application procedure for student housing (lottery). We strongly suggest you complete the housing applications to UAmsterdam as soon as you receive confirmation of the acceptance letter. The rental periods are always fixed periods. Exchange students will automatically be assigned for one or two semesters (depending on the duration of the exchange). More information on UvA International Student Housing can be found on uva.nl/housing. |
