York Security and Toronto Police responding to a security situation at Bethune College

York Security Services have been notified by Toronto Police Service of a bomb threat impacting Bethune College. Toronto Police is on campus working in conjunction with York Security to conduct an orderly sweep of Bethune College. We will notify the community of any potential next steps, or if any suspicious packages are located.

In the short term, Bethune College will be evacuated until police can complete their work. More information will be directly shared with anyone asked to evacuate.
If you spot any unattended suspicious objects, please report it to Security Services, PLEASE DO NOT APPROACH OR TOUCH ANY SUSPICIOUS OBJECTS.
York takes all safety and security matters seriously. We are working with TPS to determine the scope and seriousness of the matter and we understand this will inconvenience some community members. All efforts will be made to accommodate those impacted by the evacuation.
