Enhancing the AMPD eLearning Ecosystem: AMPD UP ePortfolio

Description

As a project representing the priorities of the York University Academic Plan (UAP)—access, connectedness, excellence, opportunity and impact—AMPD UP will develop a central ePortfolio platform to support the work of AMPD students. These ePortfolios allow current students to exhibit studio work and research at different stages of their degree while providing graduating students with a launchpad for entering the world of creative work. ePortfolios also maintain connections between alumni and the university; enable graduates to showcase different kinds of credentials including micro-credentials; and serve as recruitment tools.

More than “show and tell”, ePortfolios are active learning tools that support creativity, self-marketing, communication, knowledge integration, reflection, career and community building. They will strengthen York’s institutional gravitas demonstrating leadership in digital media and technology-enhanced learning. AMPD UP will be an incubator for new ideas, forms of collaboration, and methods of fostering career pathways in the arts and media industries.
