Partnership and Pedagogy: Inclusion by Design through a Students-as-Partners Program in the Teaching Commons

Description

Partnership and Pedagogy: Inclusion by Design through a Students-as-Partners Program in the Teaching Commons builds on research into student-faculty-staff partnerships at all levels of teaching and learning activities and pilot opportunities for student engagement and partnership in the Teaching Commons. With a key goal of further supporting our mission of providing leadership in the pursuit of engaged teaching practices centered on the student experience, funds will be used to operationalize a Students-as-Partners program initially co-designed with placement students from the Faculty of Education.

Engaging a larger and more diverse cohort of students is central to this work to both model and engage in a Students-as-Partners framework for the Teaching Commons while also creating resources and opportunities to support faculty in engaging students in new and innovative ways for their ongoing course design, delivery, and evaluation.
