Virtual Learning Skills Program

Description

This pan-university project aims to build on the momentum of a number of previously successful and related AIF projects that the co-leads for this project have developed and sustained. This project also aims to complement other successful AIF projects including YU START, SPARK, the First-Year Instructor Toolkit, and the Virtual Learning Commons because it seeks to create a seamless continuum of online support for student learning. This project uses a student-centered approach to provide in-depth education in learning skills in a dynamic e-learning environment with options for instructors to embed modules, learning tools and resources into existing courses. Not only will the modules serve the needs of students experiencing academic challenges, but it will assist more prepared students in honing their university learning skills.
