Dear York community,
As you will be aware, the President and Provost have provided detailed updates to our community about York’s safe return to campus which includes students, faculty, instructors, and staff attending in-person teaching, learning, research, and work activities in increasing numbers through to February 14, 2022.
Throughout the pandemic, the University has continued to work closely with public health authorities and the government to ensure that our plans prioritized the health and safety of our community and were in keeping with the most current provincial guidelines. York’s multi-layered approach to health and safety continues to enjoy the support of Toronto Public Health.
As we move into the next phase of York’s safe return to in-person activities on our campuses, I’m pleased to share an update about the ongoing and new efforts in place that will support our health and safety throughout this transition, and beyond.
- YU Screen must be filled out daily, prior to attending campus. Don’t forget to sign up for daily reminder emails. Please be prepared to show your YU Screen clearance upon request while on campus.
- Vaccination is required. York is strongly encouraging all community members to get their third doses and to retain their records for upload to YU Screen.
- Masks are mandatory at York. Please read our protocol and find some important resources here.
- Ventilation at Keele and Glendon Campuses meet the highest standards. Please read more here, including additional information about airflow, systems, and monitoring.
- The University’s case and contact management team continue to do that important work, and COVID-19 cases are posted daily, here.
- Eating spaces have new rules. Please find updated information and guidelines here.
