Director James Orbinski spoke on a panel of experts on CTV's Power Play on 11 March 2020, the same day the Director-General of the World Health Organization declared the spread of coronavirus to be a pandemic. Several weeks before, on 26 February 2020, Dr. Orbinski commented on the same program that it was "inevitable" that COVID-19 would be declared a pandemic.
