The Dahdaleh Institute for Global Health Research is accepting applications for the 2024 Seed Grants for Critical Social Science Perspectives in Global Health Research. York graduate students and research fellows are welcome to apply with the support of a York faculty member as the principal investigator.
The 2024 competition will award four seed grants valued up to $7,000 CAD each to initiate novel and innovative ideas that take a critical social science approach to global health research. The seed grant aims to support research that meets the three themes of the Dahdaleh Institute: planetary health; global health and humanitarianism; and global health foresighting.
The CPGH Seed Grant Program is designed to stimulate global health research and encourage full development of grant proposals for Fall Tri-Council and other grants. Seed grant recipients will initiate their research and present the progress of their research at next year’s Critical Social Science Perspectives in Global Health Research Workshop.
