Andy De Jong is a Research Assistant who has recently completed her Master of Public Health at Lakehead University. Under the supervision of Professor Harvey Skinner and Susan Harris at the Wellness Impact Lab (WIL), Andy will support and contribute to research on Climate Cafés. Prior to their studies at Lakehead, she graduated with a BMSc in Honours Biochemistry and a minor in Women's Studies from Western University.
Andy’s research interests include the impact of climate change on mental health, and the intersection of climate change, mental health, and global health policy. They look forward to contributing to research on Climate Cafés, an innovative approach to fostering community engagement and dialogue around the pressing issues of climate change.
