Academic Advising

The Faculty of Health's Office of Student and Academic Services (OSAS) provides student advising services to Faculty of Health major students. Advising is available to all continuing and new students in Health Informatics, Health Management, Health Policy, Health Studies, Global Health, Kinesiology and Health Science, Neuroscience, Nursing and Psychology. We look forward to assisting you as you progress toward your degree.

Academic Advising Services for Faculty of Health Students – As of September 13, 2021

Online Academic Advising

The Faculty of Health is happy to assist students with their academic advising questions! All Faculty of Health students, may access academic advising from Monday to Friday on Zoom and by email at the link provided below:

Zoom Advising:

Monday: 10:00am to 11:30am and 1:00pm to 3:30pm
Tuesday: 9:00am to 11:30am and 2:00pm to 3:30pm
Wednesday: 9:00am to 11:30am and 2:00pm to 3:30pm
Thursday: 9:00am to 11:30am and 1:00pm to 3:30pm
Friday: 1:00pm to 3:30pm

Note: Zoom Advising is closed between 11:30am and 1:00pm and will promptly end at 3:30pm. The Zoom Advising room will be locked at that time and students will not be able to log in.

To consult with an Academic Advisor by email please use the online inquiry form and a member of the advising team will assist you with your academic advising questions.

In Person Service

Front Desk Advising:

The Faculty of Health welcomes students to come by in-person to the Faculty of Health, Office of Student and Academic Services to speak with an Academic Advisor at the front desk.

Location: 235 Calumet College.
Monday to Friday: 9:00am to 4:00pm

The Faculty of Health will continue to receive academic petitions online on the Faculty of Health Petitions page.

You can access academic petition support by attending a petitions webinar on Zoom.

Questions regarding academic petitions may be sent to

  • Our individual attention
  • Accurate knowledge of academic policies, procedures, regulations and degree requirements
  • Answers to your questions: when we don't know the answer, we will find the person who does, or refer you to the tools that will help you find your answer
  • Familiarize yourself with the academic policies, procedures, and requirements, published each year in the undergraduate calendar
  • Recognize your responsibility for continually monitoring your progress toward graduation and for your academic choices. You are responsible for knowing the requirements of your academic program
