SSHRC funding supports Associate Professor Lyndsay Hayhurst in the School of Kinesiology & Health science, among York researchers connecting communities and driving change

Associate Professor Lyndsay Hayhurst is among six York University researchers whose initiatives have received funding through the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), supporting projects that mobilize knowledge and spark change. Her research project Cycling Towards Change: Advancing Mobility Justice, Gender Equity, and Sustainable Development through Bicycles received $24,596 to bring together researchers and community partners from Canada, Uganda and beyond to explore how cycling can promote gender equity and sustainable development.
