Controlled campus-wide power outages will take place today between noon -2:00pm. Some building may be affected for up to two hours.
Please be advised that electrical power has been restored to all buildings affected by the emergency switching earlier today.
Please be advised that an alert was posted today on the digital messaging screens in some buildings indicating that a lockdown was taking place at the new student centre. This alert was due to an equipment malfunction. There was no lockdown, and repairs are underway to address the malfunction.
Power was restored to all buildings on Keele Campus at about 4:45 AM thanks to the efforts of staff from Campus Services and Business Operations (CSBO) and Toronto Hydro who worked through the night.
Several parts of the Keele Campus are without power. Staff are working to restore power as quickly as possible. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
