Anna Maria Subic is a graduate of McMaster University with an honours bachelor of science degree in biology and psychology. Toward the end of her degree, she discovered a passion for global and public health and began to learn more about the intersection of human health and planetary health. To cultivate this new interest, she is currently pursuing a master of public health at Lakehead University, and she has joined the Dahdaleh Institute for Global Health Research as part of the practicum requirements for her degree. Anna is working with Research Fellow Byomkesh Talukder as a research assistant, conducting a systemic literature review on the risks of urban agriculture. She hopes to find a place in global and public health where she can combine her interests in planetary health, climate change, and social justice in a way that will combat global inequities.
