Graduate Student Scholar
Jasmine Palmer is a Canadian graduate student enrolled at York University. Her academic research focuses on the intricate relationships among environmental systems, human health and well-being, and livelihood transitions, with a specific emphasis on the Caribbean region. During her graduate studies, she will investigate energy system transformations (particularly in the scaling of emerging renewable energy sources) and household energy security, ensuring energy equity that aligns with improved quality of life for inhabitants of Caribbean Small Island Developing States (SIDS). Jasmine is also interested in exploring international relations between Canada and Caribbean SIDS, focusing on how policies, practices, and solutions can establish equitable energy systems in these states.
