On World Environment Day, June 5, the Dahdaleh Institute for Global Health Research at York University continues to recognize ecological integrity as a determinant of health worldwide, human activity as pushing ecological limits to a breaking point, and climate change as a fundamental threat to human life. Our research supports and is climate action, because a healthy planet is indispensable to global health.
Planetary Health research calls urgent attention to the human health cost of environmental degradation and invites deeper reflection on the relationship between human and environmental wellbeing.
