Beyond 1st Year

In addition to the required Psychology courses below, you will also choose general education courses and courses outside of your major beyond your first year.

Sample required courses:

  • HH/PSYC 2010 Writing in Psychology
  • HH/PSYC 2020 Statistical Methods I and II
  • HH/PSYC 2030 Introduction to Research Methods
  • 3 credits at the 2100 level in Psychology such as Social Psychology, Developmental Psychology or Personality
  • 3 credits at the 2200 level in Psychology such as Sensation and Perception, Biological Basis of Behaviour, Motivation, or Cognition
  • 3 additional credits at the 2100 or 2200 level in Psychology

  • 9 credits at the 3000 level in Psychology such as Abnormal Psychology, Health Psychology, or Psychology and Law

Sample required courses:

  • HH/PSYC 4180: Critical Thinking in Psychology
  • 6 Credits at the 4000 level in Psychology such as Personality Theory and Behaviour Disorders, Counselling Psychology, or Theories of Human Nature
