In this Concentration, you will build a strong foundation in psychology and its applications to the legal system. You will begin with core courses in developmental, social, and clinical psychology, which will prepare you for specialized studies in psychology and law, forensic psychology, and related areas. You will explore topics such as legal decision-making, criminal behavior, forensic assessment, and wrongful convictions. Additional courses on trauma, addiction, cultural psychology, and drugs and behavior will help you understand the psychological and social factors that influence involvement in the justice system.
By completing this Concentration, you will gain the knowledge and skills to apply psychological principles in a variety of settings, including careers in forensic psychology, law, social work, criminal justice, corrections, and rehabilitation, or pursue graduate studies in related fields.

Concentration Requirements
To earn this Concentration, you must complete at least 18 credits, including PSYC 3310 and 3320, plus 12 additional credits from the approved courses listed below. A minimum average GPA of C+ is required across all courses counted toward the Concentration.
