Concentrations are optional, but a great way to focus your learning in specific areas of psychology by completing sets of thematically related courses.
Concentrations are open to all undergraduate psychology students in the Faculty of Health. You can earn up to two (2) concentrations during your psychology undergraduate degree (BA/BSc, Honours BA/BSc, Specialized Honours BA/BSc), including if you’re completing a double major or minor in another program.

How Concentrations Work
The Psychology Major Maps guide you through each year of your undergraduate journey, offering directions on program requirements, course planning, and available support. You'll also find practical steps to prepare for your future and make the most of your time at York University.
No application is required to begin. You can start taking courses for a concentration at any point during your studies.

Credit Requirements
Each Concentration requires 18 credits in a set of thematically related psychology courses.
