York-Seneca Rehabilitation Services Certificate Program
Offered jointly by York University and Seneca Polytechnic, the York-Seneca Rehabilitation Services Certificate Program prepares you for careers in rehabilitation through academic training in health sciences and hands-on fieldwork. Recognized by Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada (VRA ) and The College of Rehabilitation Professionals (CVRP), this program has been offered since 1981.
Certificate in Psychological Methods and Data Analysis
Open to students completing a degree in Psychology (Health/Glendon) or other undergraduate programs within the Faculty of Health. This certificate provides advanced skills in psychological methods and data analysis. This certificate will enhance your preparation for graduate studies in Quantitative Methods for Psychology (or other graduate Psychology programs) or careers in research, analytics, or applied psychology.
Counselling and Mental Health Certificate
The Counselling and Mental Health certificate is for BA/BSc Honours Psychology students interested in clinical careers. Completed alongside your degree, the certificate will allow you to build foundational skills in counselling, therapeutic relationships, and mental health across the lifespan. You will explore common disorders, ethical guidelines, and how social systems impact well-being. You can apply for this certificate prior to completing 36 credits and after completing 24 credits including PSYC1010 6.00.
The Cross-Disciplinary Certificate in Aging brings together upper-level courses from Psychology, Kinesiology & Health Science, Sociology, and related areas, with a focus on aging. You will develop key skills in professionalism, empathy, and teamwork through direct engagement with older adults. The certificate also prepares you to promote positive aging (i.e., support independence from a person focused perspective), understand diverse cultural views on aging, increase respite capacity. contribute to life-long learning by educating individuals and families on aging, design age-related interventions, and advocate for older adults in various settings.
