Curriculum Development

Curriculum Development at Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies (LA&PS) refers to the initiatives taken by the departmental units that seek to change, improve, or develop some elements of a program’s curriculum.

An initiative/initiatives involves:

  • Create a new course
  • Change to an existing course
  • Create a new program or certificate or close an existing program
  • Change to an existing program or certificate

Submit your Proposal

Proposals must be submitted online. You can submit your proposal in two ways.

Deadline for Proposal Submission for 2024-2025 Academic Year: June 19 2023.


Through CMS

Six departments (English, History, Anthropology, Information Technology, Administrative Studies, and Sociology) so far can submit proposals directly through York's online Curriculum Management System (CMS) or Kuali. We are working with the CMS team to onboard more departments into the system in upcoming days.
