CITY Institute launches website on Global Suburbanisms

The Major Collaborative Research Initiative “Global Suburbanisms: Governance, Land and Infrastructure in the 21st Century” (2010-17), based at the City Institute at York University (CITY), with more than 50 international researchers and 18 partner organizations, is the first project to systematically take stock of suburban development around the world.

Today, they announced the launch of their website available at www.yorku.ca/suburbs, which offers information on their ongoing research, upcoming seminars, workshops or conferences, and “Suburbanicity” blog.

The project is supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada through funding from the Major Collaborative Research Initiative “Global Suburbansims: Governance, Land, and Infrastructure in the 21st Century (2010-2017)”.
