Call for Nominations: President's Research Excellence Award

The York University President’s Research Excellence Award, valued at $10,000, recognizes established, full-time, active faculty members with distinguished scholarly achievements who have had a notable impact on their field(s) and made a significant contribution to advancing the University’s international reputation for research excellence while significantly and positively contributing to one or more aspects of the York community’s intellectual life.

In 2013, Professor Roger Keil of the Faculty of Environmental Studies was named the recipient of the President’s Research Excellence Award. Keil was accorded the honour in recognition of his significant contributions to York University’s research community.

Keil, who leads the $2.5-million Major Collaborative Research Initiative (MCRI), Global Suburbanisms: Governance, Land and Infrastructure in the 21st Century, has published 11 books and more than 150 articles, and was the editor of the International Journal of Urban and Regional Research, a premier journal in his field. He has also been a visiting scholar and professor at a number of international institutions

This year's deadline is Tuesday, December 10th 2013 at 4:30 p.m.
