Knowledge Mobilization connects research and researchers to the outside world to benefit society.  At York, the Knowledge Mobilization unit helps people and organizations seeking to develop sustainable solutions to social, environmental, economic and cultural challenges access appropriate researchers and expertise at York.

David Phipps, director of York University's Office of Research Services, heads the university's Knowledge Mobilization Unit. He and Peter Levesque, chair Knowledge Mobilization Works, gave a presentation at Congress 2009 on the interplay between research, knowledge mobilization and what it takes to be successful in this new and growing field.
