Search for New GLRC Director

Applications and nominations are invited for the position of Director of the Global Labour Research Centre for a term of five years, to begin July 1, 2023.

Applicants are expected to be members of the full-time faculty at York University, and to have a distinguished record of relevant scholarship and research interests, as well as a record of positive interaction with community partners concerned with work and labour. The Director is expected to administer the financial, organizational, academic, and collegial activities of the ORU; to develop external funding sources; and to maintain an active individual and collaborative research program. The ideal candidate will be aware of and responsive to the needs of community partners in the sector, the role of undergraduate and graduate students and student training in the GLRC, and academic networks both within the University and beyond.
