The Us in Coronavirus

In 2020-2021, the GLRC participated in the Cross-Campus Capstone Classroom (C4) program at York, which provides undergraduate students with an opportunity to work in interdisciplinary teams on real-world challenges with social impact. Students had the opportunity to select from challenges presented by various organizations within and outside of York, then spent the academic year developing creative solutions. Our challenge question for students was, “From grassroots initiatives to influencing social and economic policy, how can we work together to shape a “new normal” in the Canadian labour market post-COVID-19?

We are excited to present our C4 team’s documentary film, The Us in Coronavirus. The documentary includes interviews with over 15 workers and activists on the impacts they’ve faced during the pandemic. You can find the trailer and full documentary on their YouTube channel and below.
