MobilizeU

MobilizeU is an 8-week virtual knowledge mobilization course designed for faculty researchers, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, staff, recent alumni, and community partners who are interested in learning more about Knowledge Mobilization (KMb).

Taught by leading knowledge mobilization experts, MobilizeU features pre-recorded videos, core readings, live Zoom sessions, and hands-on assignments. Learn theory, build skills, discuss with peers and practice applying what you know.

For the Winter 2026 term, KMb York will be offering MobilizeU to the York University community.

Course Dates: January 19 – March 17, 2026

Ideal for: Beginner Knowledge Mobilizers

Commitment: 3-4 hours/week

Format: Online, self-directed course using eClass with a weekly Zoom session on Tuesdays from 1:00-2:30 pm starting January 20, 2026

Application Dates: Opens on Monday, December 6, 2025 and ends on Friday, January 9, 2026


Program Overview

MobilizeU is an 8-week online course for beginner mobilizers interested in learning knowledge mobilize theory and skills. The program includes:

  • Live Zoom sessions with guest experts
  • Pre-recorded videos
  • Readings
  • Topic summaries
  • Learning activities

To earn the course certificate, you must:

  1. Watch/read/review all the core content for all 8 modules
  2. Attend 6 live Zoom sessions
  3. Complete 2 assignments
