    James and Joanne Love Chair in Environmental Engineering

    Brar is a Professor in the Civil Engineering Department at the Lassonde School of Engineering. Her research is on the intersecting areas of environmental engineering and its impact on the overall well-being of the global community. She primarily works in the two converging fields of value-addition of wastes and removal of emerging contaminants.

    YRC in Vision Biophotonics

    Mermut, Faculty of Science, and her group develop diagnostics and therapeutic biophotonics technologies to address age-related degenerative diseases. These techniques translate to accelerated aging studies in the environment of space, to understand long-term health consequences in space.
