Afternoon Tea and Tour of Queen's Park
The YURA Events group is pleased to share details of our next in-person outing at the beginning of June.
DATE/LOCATION: Friday June 7, 2024 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m., at Queen’s Park, the historic Ontario Legislative Building. Note: participants to arrange their own transportation to the venue.
EVENT: Afternoon Tea and Tour of Queen’s Park. As explained on the official site, this tour offers you the opportunity to discover the history, art and architecture of the historic Legislative Building, to immerse yourself in a historical vignette and to enjoy a traditional English-style afternoon tea service.
LIMITED NUMBER OF TICKETS: YURA has acquired a limited number of tickets for this event. We are attempting to gauge the level of interest in this type of outing and are prepared to offer a similar outing during 2025 if interest levels are high.
COST and REGISTRATION DETAILS:
- Cost $25 per person (YURA is subsidizing 40% of the $45 per ticket price);
- To register, send an e-transfer to yurams@yorku.ca with subject line: Queen’s Park Tea and Tour;
- Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis;
- Limit of 1 ticket per YURA member.

By public transit, exit University subway (Line 1) at Queen’s Park station. Exact details of the rendezvous location will be communicated to registered participants closer to the date of the event. Participants will need to arrive by 1:30 p.m. that day to meet up with the tour group and to complete the mandatory Security Screening.
