Research Fellow
Grace Grothaus is a computational artist and researcher working at the intersection of environmental data, public engagement, and interdisciplinary art practice. She is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow with Connected Minds at York University, where her work bridges computational media, environmental sensing, and civic participation. Her research-creation practice—often described as envirographic art—translates complex climate and pollution data into legible, affective experiences through wearable technologies, interactive systems, and public installations. Drawing on methods from human-computer interaction, participatory design, and environmental humanities, her work advances data-driven art practices that engage communities in understanding and responding to urban environmental challenges.
