Gaurav is a PhD candidate in Civil and Environmental Engineering at York University, supervised by Professor Satinder Kaur Brar. His research investigates the transport, fate, and impacts of microplastics in wastewater treatment systems. His work addresses three critical gaps:

1. How microbial colonization affects microplastic removal efficiency
2. The breakdown of microplastics into biologically invasive nanoplastics
3. Developing cost-effective containment solutions adaptable to global infrastructure

This research aligns with the Dahdaleh Institute's planetary health mission by protecting both ecosystems and human health through scalable water security solutions.
