York University Nutrition FAQ

We offer a variety of Halal meal options at both Glendon and Keele Campuses. 

Most locations that accept Meal Plan (MP) offer Halal options.  Refer to our dining directory for details on Meal Plan locations. 

Look out for the “Halal” icon on menu boards. When dining, ask to speak to the Supervisor or Manager on duty and they will guide you on which items are Halal and they will be happy to assist you and answer any of your questions.  

We offer a variety of vegan and vegetarian meal options at both Glendon and Keele Campuses.

We offer a variety of “no gluten” containing meal options at both Glendon and Keele Campuses.  

Most locations that accept Meal Plan (MP) offer “no gluten” containing meal.  Refer to our dining directory for details on Meal Plan locations. Bergeron Centre is our dedicated “no gluten” dining location at Keele Campus. 

When dining, ask to speak to the Supervisor or Manager on duty and they will guide you on which items do not contain gluten and  they will be happy to assist you and answer any of your questions.  

We take food allergies, intolerances, and dietary restrictions seriously and can accommodate most dietary needs including Halal, Vegan, Vegetarian and No Gluten.

We encourage students to connect with our registered dietitian before finalizing their residence decision.  Students may be introduced to their culinary team who will help them navigate safe meal choices on campus.
