Web-based Mindfulness Groups for Autistic Adults and their Family Members

What is this project about?

We have been researching how to support Autistic adults and their caregivers (parents/siblings). As part of this research, we are holding free, web-based mindfulness groups for Autistic adults and caregivers to help them cope.

How did we go about doing this research?

Participants joined the group virtually using their home computer or a telephone line that connects them with the group facilitators and other Autistic adults/caregivers.

Each group ran for six weeks.

Who can be involved?

Autistic adults (18 years and older) and/or caregivers of Autistic adults living in Canada.

What will we do with our research findings?

We hope this research will help us better understand how to support Autistic adults and caregivers. We also hope to see if we can do this virtually using web-based technology to support families across Canada.

What is the next step?
