January 8th 2026: Update on Launch of New Online System for Animal User Protocols:
We are pleased to announce that YU Ethics Review for Animal Care Committee (ACC) protocol submissions will go live on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. The previously encountered technical issues have now been resolved.
Effective Thursday, January 15, 2026, all ACC protocol submissions must be submitted through the online YU Ethics Review system.
The Animal Care Committee (ACC) at York has jurisdiction over all research involving animals conducted – on and off campus - by York faculty, staff and students.
It is the Committee’s mandate to ensure that all research involving animals is conducted in a manner consistent with the national guidelines of the Canadian Council on Animal Care (CCAC) and relevant regulations/provincial legislation (Animals for Research Act).
