Ticket Information
The number of guest tickets allotted to each graduand varies depending on the convocation ceremony. Please note that the graduand does not require a guest ticket to attend their convocation. The robe rental confirmation page acts as a student ticket to convocation.
Tickets must be downloaded from the links provided at the completion of the RSVP. Graduands may save the PDF document in order to e-mail the tickets to their guests. All tickets must be printed on a separate page of 8 ½” x 11” white paper. Each guest requires a ticket to be admitted and each ticket has a barcode and is unique.
Additional tickets will be available at the Main Gate and Box Office at the Rexall Centre two hours prior to the ceremony start time. There is no charge associated with additional tickets. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis while quantities last. The Events and Ceremonials team is unable to predict the number of additional tickets that will be available for each ceremony.
Due to logistical restrictions, there is absolutely NO possibility of obtaining additional tickets in advance of the two hour period before a ceremony start time. Please do not call regarding additional tickets.
Please note: Convocation and related events are Webcast live, videotaped, photographed and recorded. Your use of a ticket to Convocation confirms your willingness to appear in Webcasts, videotapes, photographs and recordings, and releases York University from all liability in connection therewith.
Privacy: Personal information including images and recordings is collected under the authority of The York University Act, 1965 and will be used for promoting, publicizing or explaining York University and its activities and for administrative, educational or research purposes. Personal information may be disclosed to outside service providers for processing and production.
