Glendon College Principal’s Reception

As part of your convocation day, Principal Marco Fiola would like to extend a heartfelt invitation to the Glendon College Principal’s Reception to celebrate the Class of 2025 Glendon Grads and alumni! 

The reception will take place on Thursday, June 12 at 2 p.m. at the Glendon Campus, following the convocation ceremony at the Keele Campus.

This reception is dedicated to celebrating your success with fellow graduates, alumni, faculty members and loved ones.

Enjoy food, music and photo opportunities on the beautiful Glendon Campus.

Convocation is a truly joyous occasion that brings together graduating students, esteemed faculty members, dedicated staff, enthusiastic volunteers, and proud guests.  

The Glendon College convocation ceremony will take place on Thursday, June 12 at 10 a.m. at the Keele Campus in the morning followed by a reception hosted by Principal Marco Fiola at the Glendon Campus at 2 p.m. 

Shuttle buses will be available to transport grads, guests, and faculty from the ceremony to the Glendon College Principal’s Reception. Return shuttles from Glendon back to Sobeys Stadium will also be available after the reception. Please note that seats on the bus are limited and availability is on a first come, first served basis.

BUS #1 – 12:30 p.m. pick-up at Calumet Circle

BUS #2 - 12:45 p.m. pick-up at Calumet Circle. (Accessible shuttle)

BUS #3 – 1:00 p.m. pick-up at Calumet Circle

GLENDON – KEELE RETURN SHUTTLE PICK-UP TIMES

BUS #1 – 3:30 p.m. pick-up at Glendon COE

BUS #2 - 4:00 p.m. pick-up at Glendon COE (Accessible shuttle)

BUS #3 – 4:30 p.m. pick-up at COE

The regular Glendon-Keele shuttle will continue to operate on a summer schedule and is available for students to utilize with their YU card. 

Due to the tremendous response that we have received for the Glendon Principal's Reception we have now reached maximum capacity on the shuttles.  Graduating students and York community members with a valid YU Card are still able to use the regular Glendon-Keele shuttle that is operating on a Summer Schedule

Event Parking 

Event parking is available in the Lower Lots (F Lot, G Lot) at Glendon Campus at a rate of $10 per day. Please follow signage instructions to register your vehicle for parking through the HONK Mobile App. Standard parking rates will apply should guests choose to park in other visitor lots.  

If you are attending the Reception at Glendon Campus following the Convocation Ceremony at Sobeys Stadium and have paid the $10 flat parking fee at Keele Campus, that same payment will be valid for parking in the Lower Lots (F Lot, G Lot) at Glendon Campus.  

Shuttle buses will run on a continuous loop between the lower-level parking lot to the Centre of Excellence from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. 

Accessible Parking  

Accessible parking is available on a first come first serve basis. All vehicles which are parked in an accessible parking space must display the Ontario Accessibility Parking Placard. Vehicles must be registered and the standard parking rates will apply.

The deadline for students to RSVP online has now passed.

Yes, you may invite up to 7 guests. 

You may choose to attend both, or you may attend one or the other.  Your convocation ceremony takes place on the Keele Campus and is where the Chancellor confers your degree and the Glendon College Principal's Reception is a celebration event with the Glendon community on the Glendon Campus. 

Yes!  Although you must return the robe you will wear for the convocation ceremony before you depart Keele Campus, there will be a complimentary robe rental service available at Glendon Campus for the reception.  You’ll be able to take photos in regalia at the ceremony and again at the reception.  

Yes!  There will be Glendon photo backdrops and #Glendon signs available at the Glendon convocation ceremony on Keele Campus.  

Provided that your eligibility is received prior to the printing production deadline for convocation, you will receive the diploma/certificate you are entitled to on the day of your ceremony at the Keele Campus. Diploma distribution will be available for one hour after the ceremony. 

Those unable to attend the convocation ceremonies should refer to the Registrar's Office website to learn more about pick-up dates and location.

There is no diploma distribution on the Glendon Campus.
