The Youth Climate Report (YCR) now has official support from UNESCO through a partnership with York University's UNESCO Chair in Reorienting Education towards Sustainability. Stefania Giannini, Assistant Director-General for Education at the UNESCO head office, made the announcement of YCR's official partner status via a letter to Mark Terry earlier in August.
Mark Terry founded and leads the Youth Climate Report, is the Research Fellow in Documentary Film & Global Health at the Dahdaleh Institute, and is Associate for the UNESCO Chair in Reorienting Education towards Sustainability.
Youth Climate Report is an influential platform for global youth to report on the science and policy of climate change, and provides opportunities to develop the filmmaking, photography and writing skills needed to make the most of the platform.
