The following vendors have been selected as prequalified contractors for Capital Electrical Services for York University for the period of September 1, 2023 to August 31, 2026, with no optional extension.

How to Buy
Departments/units that require this service must review the Second Stage Service Arrangement as below prior to contacting Facility Services:
- For projects valued at less than $25,000, York may use the prequalified vendors on a rotational sequence without going through a competitive bidding process.
- For projects where the value is estimated from $25,000 up to $200,000, a minimum three (3) prequalified vendors will be invited to submit a price or proposal through a subsequent competitive bidding process. The invitation to participate in such competitive bidding will be rotated among the VOR’s.
- For projects where the value is estimated more than $200,000, all prequalified vendors will be invited to submit a price or proposal through a subsequent competitive bidding process. The Bid Documents issued for these competitive bids will be posted on the public tendering site MERX www.merx.com.
- Emergency work assignments, up to $200,000, may be issued to any-one (1) prequalified vendor from the VOR list at York’s sole discretion.
