WHAT WE DO
The Science Engagement Programs office at York University offers innovative and engaging programs designed to inspire youth to discover exciting topics in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Our programs take place within the Faculty of Science at the Keele Campus of York University, as well as in schools, community centres, and other educational institutions.

Great Science Plays Here
PROGRAMS FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS
Our programs explore topics in STEM through engaging and interactive activities and experiments, with a hands-on approach to learning.

March Break
Our in-person March Break Science Camps offer interactive and innovative activities, with before- and after-camp care available. For grades 3 and up.

Summer
We offer a variety of week-long thematic programs for grades 3 and up, with our in-person Science Explorations Summer Day Camps at the Keele campus.
PROGRAMS FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Work with Science Engagement
High school students aged 15+ years may volunteer with our programs to earn volunteer hours and work towards a reference letter from York University.
A select number of paid Junior Instructor positions are also available for March Break and Summer. Priority is given to those who have been part of our community as a previous camper or volunteer.

Summer Courses
We offer a variety of week-long thematic programs through our in-person Spark Lab Summer Program.
Spend your time working with professors, graduate students, or upper-level undergraduates in the laboratory or lecture halls.
Escape the traditional classroom and join us on a journey of scientific discovery.
