Over the course of the 2023-2024 academic year, the Dahdaleh Institute collaborated with a group of outstanding students as part of the Internship Program. In recent years, our internship program has expanded to include research positions across disciplines progressing towards novel and innovative global health research. Through this program, our global health interns have the unique opportunity to participate in various stages of a research project and gain valuable hands-on experience and insights.
Congratulations and thank you to all the interns for contributing to another successful year!
2023/2024 Interns

Experiential Learning
Guided by faculty and research fellows, interns explored a broad spectrum of urgent global health challenges, learning how to approach them with effectiveness, equity, and excellence. The program, coordinated by Theresa Dinh, paired trainees with researchers and supported them throughout their experiential learning journey.
This year, the following eight interns shared their experience in the internship program at the 2024 Dahdaleh Institute Intern Symposium on April 17.
- Gurher Sidhu (5:11): Assisting Social Science Research in Tuberculosis
- Shamim Samadi and Laura Rosa Pereira (10:08): Global Health: Wellness Impact Lab
- Shaista Alokozai (17:16): Internship Experience Overview at the Dahdaleh Institute
- Gaurika Agarwal (20:06): Designing for Global Health at the SaTS Lab
- Yashi Papola (38:19): Methodologies for Analyzing Experiences with Chronic Pain
