What Are Digital Badges and Certificates?
Digital credentials are electronic records that recognize learning and professional development achievements.
Digital Badges
Digital badges recognize participation in designated workshops, webinars, training sessions and other professional development activities. Each badge identifies the activity or achievement being recognized.
Digital Certificates
Digital certificates recognize completion of designated professional development programs or learning requirements. Requirements depend on the certificate.
- Recognize your participation and accomplishments in professional development.
- Keep a digital record of eligible learning activities and completed programs.
- Share your achievements with professional networks and other audiences.
- Highlight professional interests and ongoing development alongside your academic or professional experience.
FGS digital credentials are available to eligible members of four groups within York’s graduate community: graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, graduate-appointed faculty, and graduate administrators and directors. Individual activities may have additional eligibility or completion requirements.
