How to Buy
Departments/units that require this service must review the Second Stage Service Arrangement as below prior to contacting Facility Services:
- For requirements valued at less than $25,000, York may use the prequalified vendors on a rotational sequence without going through a competitive bidding process.
- For requirements valued at more than $25,000 but less than $100,000, a minimum of three (3) Pre-qualified contractors will be invited to submit a price or proposal through a subsequent competitive bidding process. The invitation to participate in such competitive bidding will be rotated among the VOR’s, and will be sent out via email.
- For requirements valued at more than $100,000, all Pre-qualified vendors will be invited to submit a price or proposal through a subsequent competitive bidding process. The Bid Documents issued for these competitive bids will be posted on the public tendering site MERX www.merx.com.
