Ontario University Professional Procurement Management Association

The Ontario University Professional Procurement Management Association (“OUPPMA”) was established in 1965 and represents procurement professionals from all Ontario University's. Collaboration and cooperation have been a primary focus for the Association, acknowledging the many benefits of joint purchasing ventures for the participating parties. OUPPMA promotes cooperative procurement, the professional development of our members and the ethical exchange of information between our members and affiliates.

Ontario Education Collaborative Marketplace

York University is member of the Ontario Education Collaborative Marketplace (“OECM”).

OECM is a trusted not-for-profit group sourcing partner for Ontario’s education sector, broader public sector, and other not-for-profit organizations.  OECM contract with innovative, reputable suppliers to offer a comprehensive choice of quality products and services, to generate significant savings for our customers.  OECM is funded through the OntarioBuys initiative of the Ministry of Finance.

Kinetic GPO

York University is a member of Kinetic GPO which is a cooperative purchasing organization established for Broader Public Sector and MASH entities across Canada.  The specific purpose of Kinetic GPO is reducing procurement cost by leveraging the purchasing power of group buying.

Ministry of Government and Consumer Services (“MGCS”) - Supply Ontario

York University is a participating member of Supply Ontario’s enterprise-wide vendor of record (“VOR”) arrangements for public sector procurements.

Canoe Procurement Group of Canada

York University is a member of Canoe Procurement Group of Canada

The Canoe Procurement Group of Canada works with municipal, not-for-profit, and public sector organizations providing access to its members regarding preferential pricing on trade-compliant purchasing programs that leverage collective buying power and economies of scale.  York University intends to participate in one or more procurements conducted through Canoe Procurement Group of Canada.
