If there is no certificate, how can I include the Learning Skills workshops on my resume?
Congratulations on completing a series of Learning Skills Services workshops! There are many resources available to you as a YorkU student to assist you in identifying the value of your involvement experiences and how to effectively articulate your achievements.
- Online Career Centre resources to assist you in writing "accomplishment statements" that highlight your skills on your resumé and developing "STAR stories" to share in interviews.
- Online Career Centre eClass Modules on resumé and cover letter writing.
- The Skills Kickstart Mentorship Program provides an opportunity for students outside of work/study to experience the Becoming YU program as either a mentee or a peer mentor. Becoming YU is a goal setting framework to help you identify competencies you would like to build, track, and articulate your progress.
- Career Centre workshops and activities on a wide variety of career exploration and job search topics.
- Learn how to engage in career exploration, identify your career goals, and increase your knowledge of career resources with My Career Exploration Guide & Workbook.
