The Graduate Program in Communication & Culture

Our faculty teach and supervise graduate students' research and projects in the Joint Graduate Program in Communication & Culture. This program is a unique partnership of York University and Ryerson University, offering academic programs that lead to MA and PhD degrees.

The Joint Graduate Program is unique in Ontario in combining academic work and practicum with the objective of promoting the application of theory and research to contemporary issues and practices in communication and culture. The program brings together perspectives from the social sciences, humanities & fine arts, and communication & media-related professions, and aims to encourage innovative thinking, research, and practice.
