Research by Dahdaleh Institute Research Fellow James Stinson and his partners has been featured as a case study by the Canadian Climate Institute as part of their "Indigenous Perspectives" series, which showcases exemplary Indigenous work on climate research and policy. In this auto-ethnography, Natasha Akiwenzie from the Lac Seul First Nation shares her story of personal reinvention in her move from fisher to climate educator in response to the dramatic impacts of warmer and windier weather on her life and livelihood in Neyaashiinigmiing, Ontario.
In an article published in The Conservation, DI Research Fellow Linn Biörklund shares her experiences accompanying the XVI Caravan of Mothers from Central America through four Mexican states as the mothers called attention to and demanded action for their disappeared children.
Research by Dahdaleh Institute Faculty Fellow Tarra Penney, Research Fellow Chloe Clifford Astbury and their colleagues has been published in the Journal of Epidemiology and Public Health. The article describes a typology of major methodological approaches and illustrative global research questions to promote a greater adoption of global legal epidemiology.
