It locates the sport media industry within a historical and theoretical context and introduces students to critical issues surrounding sport, representation, ideology, consumer culture, political activism and globalization.

Objective

Create a multimedia project about a social issue related to sport media. The final multimedia project is assessed based on (1) the level of sophistication with which it addresses a sport-related social issue and (2) the effectiveness with which it incorporates various media elements (e.g. sound, image, links, graphics).
