He teaches courses on the sociology of sport, sport media, labour studies, popular culture, and research methods.

Derek Hrynyshyn

Office: Victor Phillip Dahdaleh (DB) Building, 3024 Derek Hrynyshyn is a political theorist who is interested in the political economy of communication, and its relationship to new technological developments. He teaches courses about Media, Politics, and Democracy. Most recently, he is author of "Imagining Platform Socialism", in the Socialist Register 2021 (Merlin Press, 2020).
