As an academic unit in LA&PS, the Writing Centre is staffed by faculty members and graduate students with scholarly expertise in the fields of writing and composition studies. The Writing Centre offers faculty, graduate students and supervisors support throughout their writing process at the university.
Writing Centre faculty are also happy to meet with instructors to consult on assignment design, course design, multilingual teaching strategies and integrated discipline-specific writing instruction support through either booked consultations or the Faculty drop-in hour at Thursdays 11 am.

Hear from our students
I've used the Writing Centre and encouraged students to use their services. In my practice, I developed new tools for editing and enhancing clarity when discussing complex ideas. For my students, I've seen significant improvement in their ability to meet and exceed assignment requirements after attending one-on-one sessions.
